You may want to try to paint also your fabulous portraits in oils, Christel. I'm sure you will be surprised by what you are able to create. I'm sure the results will be fabulous.
Christel Roelandt replied:
Yes, I want to try, Ana Maria, I painted a few small portraits in oil to practice, but after the Holidays I might try something larger scale. I found oil frustrating at first, but now I am really starting to love it and see the possibilities of the medium. Thanks for your support & cheering me on, my friend!! I so appreciate!! Have a beautiful day! Christel.

~ I love your graceful expression after Giorgio Morandi, dear Christel. He is one of my favorite Artists della Natura Morta and am so grateful for having seen his work in many different occasions. His extraordinary power of observation and sensibility for using the light in such a wondrous way is what gives ageless value to his entire opus ))) Outstanding work my friend ))) Brava !!! ))) ~
Christel Roelandt replied:
Oh thank you, Eva Maria!! To be honest I am not a great Morandi fan myself, but at the academy this was the brief, I had to tone down my colours twice to get a bit closer to his greyish moods haha, but true: as en excercise in observation and use of light he is great material!! Love your enthousiatic support on my little oil endeavours, my friend!! Have a beautiful day!! xx Christel.
