Ah well, admitted: I could have chosen a simpler portrait to copy for this assignment at the academy, Michel. But while visiting the exhibition, I just kept on going back to this one. I felt the friendship of Rik Wouters and him appreciating the handsomness and elegance of Simon Levy through the painting and was swept away!! So: there was no easy escape and I sweated it :) !!
